Blackfinn Ameripub® Set to Open at Ballantyne Village

Restaurant Concept's Second Charlotte-Area Location Opening in Early September

Charlotte N.C. - Blackfinn Ameripub® today announced that it will open its second Charlotte-area location at Ballantyne Village this September. Blackfinn has been a go-to spot since it opened at the EpiCentre in 2008, and continues to establish itself as an evolution of the classic American pub – a fun, social restaurant concept that serves house-made, modern American food, craft beers and cocktails in a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere.

"We're absolutely thrilled to be opening our second restaurant here in Charlotte and we feel that Ballantyne Village is a perfect fit for us," said Gregg McConnell, Regional Partner at Blackfinn Ameripub. "The trade area sets up well for our concept, and the evolving Village continues to gain great momentum with exciting new offerings."

The 7,500 square foot restaurant, located at 14825 Ballantyne Village Way, will seat a total of 300 guests across the main pub, the patio and an open mezzanine which will function as a dining room and private event space.

To kick off its grand opening celebration, Blackfinn has partnered with Greg Olsen to host a pre-sale only event on Saturday, Aug. 27. The event will benefit Olsen's HEARTest Yard initiative with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated directly to the program that supports families of children with congenital heart disease who are treated at Levine Children's Hospital. Limited tickets to the event are available for $50 and can be purchased by contacting Brett Keenan at

The Food

The menu at Blackfinn features a wide range of house-made, modern American favorites that focus on quality, personal choice and value, including entrée salads, fresh fish, steaks and pasta, plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options, along with pub classics and comfort food.

The menu itself also includes a variety of icons that identify vegetarian, gluten-free and lighter side offerings for those with dietary preferences.

Beers, Cocktails and Wine

The restaurant will complement its broad food offering with an extensive list of craft beers and signature cocktails. With 50 beer taps, there is a focus on local and regional brews, along with four small-batch, handcrafted cocktails on tap and a wine list that includes 25 plus wines offered by the glass.

Lunch, Brunch and After Work

The variety of special menu offerings from lunch, to brunch and after work showcase Blackfinn's commitment to offering great food at a great value. The Lunch Features menu, targeted to the area's business population, will be offered Monday-Friday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a special After Work menu will be offered on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Weekend Brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays, with sweet and savory options such as French toast, steak and eggs, and a bacon egg and cheese quesadilla. Sticking to liquids? Try Blackfinn's Bacon Mary with bacon infused vodka, signature Blackfinn seasoning rim and a candied bacon garnish.


Blackfinn, along with Ballantyne Village, will offer free parking on all surface lots and in the multi-level parking garage to make sure guests have easy, convenient in-and-out access. In addition, valet parking will be available on weekends and busy nights.
