Ballantyne Village Adds Upscale Consignment Boutique To List of Recent Additions®
Charlotte N.C. - This summer, Ballantyne Village, Ballantyne’s local shopping and entertainment venue, welcomes Nouveaux, a chic woman’s consignment shop.
Nouveaux will offer discounted luxury goods in its 3,000-square-foot location next to TCBY, formerly home to Art in the Village. The boutique will offer an inventory of shoes, clothes, handbags and more by designers including Chanel, Prada, Kate Spade, Tori Burch and Louis Vuitton. Customers will enjoy brand names at one-third the retail price.
Owned and operated by Carly Edmiston and Julia Austin, Nouveaux comes after Edmiston worked at Austin’s consignment shop, FiFi’s Fine Resale located in Cornelius. With the same concept in mind, Nouveaux will be more upscale, offering couture and luxury merchandise.
“Most things are going to be like new,” Edmiston says. “We are confident we’ll be able to move most items with 30 days.”
“The resale sector is one of the fastest-growing segments of the retail industry,” added Austin. “It is a multi-billion-dollar-a-year industry, and we feel we’re on to something in Ballantyne,” continued Austin.
“We’re excited to have such a wonderful addition to the Village, and know the concept will work well here,” said Ed Camp, General Manager/ Marketing Manager at Ballantyne Village.
Customers interested in consigning with Nouveaux are asked to make an appointment for the assessment of goods. Accepted items will be featured in the showroom for 60 days and profits will be split 60-40 between the retailer and the seller.
Art in the Village will be relocated and occupy the space next to Abraham and Joseph Jewelers.
