Ballantyne Village Welcomes New General Manager/Marketing Manager

Charlotte NC - South Charlotte’s Ballantyne Village, a boutique-style shopping center, welcomes a new player to the management team this summer as part of the retail complex’s brand renovation efforts. Ed Camp, formerly Director of Business Development and Public Relations at EPICENTRE, now joins Ballantyne Village as the new General Manager/Marketing Manager.

With over 30 years of marketing and management experience, Camp has worked across the nation with various retail management residencies including one in Winston-Salem, N.C., and most recently EPICENTRE in Uptown Charlotte. As operating General Manager/Marketing Manager, Camp will work to enhance the guest experience at Ballantyne Village, and help to find ways to continuously improve the atmosphere for its local and national businesses.

"As a North Carolina native, I am pleased to continue to be able to call Charlotte home after a number of years in living in other places. At EPICENTRE, it was my pleasure to work with the current owners of Ballantyne Village, and I look forward to being part of the rejuvenation process they are planning here," said Camp.

Camp is particularly excited about the opportunity to add a branding campaign and special events to Ballantyne Village.

Ballantyne Village is a collection of shops and restaurants located in south Charlotte just across Johnston Road from Ballantyne Resort and Conference Center. It includes award-winning dining, salon and spa services, outdoor entertainment, an art house theatre and high-end shopping. Ballantyne Village was purchased by Vision Ventures and Mt. Vernon Management in October 2013 and is currently managed and leased by Merrifield Patrick Vermillion.
